The Science in Beauty E-Summit is scheduled for December 7th, 2025. A full day free conference to dig into the science behind cosmetic products! Stay tuned for the full agenda and speaker lineup!

The Science in Beauty-summit is part of my greater free e-conference initiative. High quality industry conferences have an accessibility problem. From high costs of registration to the travel costs to get there. Conferences are an important space for knowledge sharing. These barriers therefore create rather significant knowledge gaps - a problem for: introducing students to the industry, arming smaller businesses with the tools they need to succeed, addressing the issues of misinformation, and collectively pushing out industry forward. This is the problem our free e-summit series is attempting to address. Interested in supporting this work? Please share!

About our summit speakers!

Dr. Jeni Thomas, Ph.D. is the Senior Director & Principal Scientist at P&G Hair. Jeni has been studying hair and scalp science for more than 17 years. Her fascination with hair began at age 13 when her once straight hair mysteriously turned curly. More than a decade later and after completing her Ph.D. studies in Analytical Chemistry, she turned her scientific curiosity to the world of hair. She learned that her teenage hair mystery could be explained, yet many other unanswered hair and scalp questions remained. Jeni’s work at P&G Beauty has included research and partnerships with experts around the world to deepen our scientific and consumer understanding across all topics related to hair and scalp health. Throughout her career, Jeni has designed studies to answer common hair & scalp questions (e.g. does rinsing your hair in cold water really give you better shine?), published research on a range of hair & scalp topics, and co-founded a new brand focused on improving scalp condition to improve hair retention. She now leads P&G Hair’s Global Scientific Communication and Education programs to provide women and men with the information they are seeking for their best hair and scalp results.

Christophe is the only perfumer whose scents have been included in collections at the International Perfumery Museum in Grasse, the Cleveland Museum of Art, The Rubin Museum NYC, and the Harvard University Archives. In 2017, he received the first lifetime achievement award ever given by the Institute of Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles for his "Exceptional Contribution to Scent Culture."
